Pastoral Counseling Instead of viewing the client from a psycho-physical perspective, Pastoral Counseling takes the psycho-spiritual approach. With a philosophy that Human Beings consist of a physical (biological, vital and emotional), mental (instinctive, intellectual and intuitive) and spiritual (divine) component, Pastoral Counselors view the overall picture. Pastoral Counselors listen, respect and work with clients of all religious backgrounds who are having difficulties coping with stress related issues, chemical dependency, and other psychological and spiritual concerns such as: Altered States of Consciousness or ASC (Near Death Experiences and Death Bed Visions, Out of Body Experiences, dreams/nightmares, sleeping disorders etc.), and psi (psychic) phenomenon (ESP, telepathy- mind to mind communication, retrocognition- past life experiences, precognition- future prophecies, psychokinesis- mind over matter, alien abductions, and ghost hauntings). The role of a Pastoral Counselor is to help guide clients toward solving their own problems and issues. What about clients who are atheistic, agnostic or have no religion at all?
